Bad Acne

Bad Acne Video

Acne is an extremely prevalent skin condition affecting many people globally but does not just affect the young. Although not confined to teenagers, it is usually at this point in their lives when it is more likely to show and the figures indicate that as many as 9 out of 10 people will have acne at some time during their life.

Acne is the result of clogged hair follicles, caused by the overproduction of sebum, which is from the sebaceous glands but oil alone doesn't clog pores nor does oily skin necessarily equal acne. Bad acne seems to be a condition that is not necessarily a natural one and something that past generations did not suffer with.

Among the many causes of clogged pores are the use of makeup, everyday air particles and often a simple case of hormonal changes but while acne is a part of life for many individuals, it can be effectively treated. Even out diet can play a part in the cause of acne as much of our diet today is made up of unhealthy processed foods.

When people have more stubborn cases of acne it is left to a dermatologist to prescribe a stronger remedy which may require a longer period of use. Having a dermatologist treat the condition is not such a bad idea as he or she will be able to better check on how well the treatment is he prescribed. The person suffering with acne must remember not to scratch at or attempt to remove and pimples as any bacteria carried beneath the nails could cause further infection.

Unfortunately just because fingernails look clean does not mean they are, and as bacteria are usually invisible to the naked eye, there is no guarantee that an infection cannot be passed on. So wherever possible, it is advisable to keep the hands, especially fingernails away from any acne spots.

Research has shown that if your parents had acne, you'll probably have it as well and very few people have perfect skin, so it is a very common skin disorder among almost every single person. The most likely scenario is that you will contact acne while you are young probably around puberty..

If necessary, acne sufferers should consult a dermatologist or qualified physician for bad acne treatment.
